about
Pinky Pinky have good gut instincts. During an era of limitless distractions, societal pressures and sonic trends, the three best friends are focused on being happy and blissfully on the outside of all that noise. The trio grew up together in Los Angeles and there's a shared understanding of what makes them all tick. Together with her punk cohorts Anastasia Sanchez (vocalist/drummer, 20), guitarist Isabelle Fields (19), and bassist Eva Chambers (19) have a clear understanding that Pinky Pinky's modus operandi is in not overthinking their decisions. You can hear that on their new music which follows two prior EPs & multiple tours straight out of High School with the likes of Albert Hammond Jr, Broncho & Nick Valensi.
It's a patchwork quilt of garage rock and oddball indie with pop sensibilities via Producers Hanni El Khatib & Jonny Bell. It's rooted in classic bass, drums, guitar, but it's bolstered by the perspectives of a trio of LA youths writing about their everyday observations, anxieties and passions. As a result, it's unpretentious, raw and unpredictably zany.

I liked Hinds before The Prettiest Curse but something in this particular album made me a bona fide fan. The sound is just something else, every song is brimming with personality. crystalsagittarius
The Philadelphia group sharpen their hooks and internal dyanmics for a fun and non-dorky take on power pop anyone can get behind. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 26, 2024

To me, L.A. Witch sounds like what would happen if 7Year Bitch and The Gun Club had a baby. So fucking cool. Every song. See you in Chicago at the Metro in December. H Brennon Holmes
